MEN MUST NOT!

Royal Champions retreat was the first retreat organised by Floating counselling.
So many positive energy in one weekend was incredible to see and feel. So many honesty and healing happened in just two days. One healing process emerged when the conversation turned to men and their development and support.
Society says: Men do not cry, and men must be providers, men must bear all. So many things society says men must be, and as humans, we are not perfect, so men fall short of what they are meant to be.
At the retreat, I spoke about transference (past unconsciousness being projected and redirected onto something or someone else) and Counter-transference (emotional entanglement of what was transferred onto you from something or someone else).
In English: As humans, our past experiences, emotions, thoughts process and reactions are reactivated when something or someone similar is in our present, here and now. We can project our past feelings and characteristics onto others, and others can do the same to us. Humans are 80% unconscious, however, a lot of the time because of how unaware we are of our past and our trauma, we project our history onto others, and they absorb it as their own.
Example from the Champions weekend:
Two things were discussed which were both past, impacting the present relationships and management of money.
Someone mentioned that their father was generous with money, so they hated giving to the needy, this action was unconscious for so long. This lack of giving and spending impacted the person's business and the growth of their company.
Another person shared their grandmother always told them "never to rely on men, and she didn't wait for her grandad to do anything she did it herself."
In this person's current life, whenever her male partner doesn't do as she needs or asks, her past is reactivated to "do not rely on men." This thought and history is projected onto people around us, projected on people and they act like our past (people who you should not rely on, and situations that looks hopeless to spend money on)
There are plenty of reliable men in the world, why do some keep getting in an abusive relationship? Repetitive negative relationship? There are plenty of excellent business investment and people who need financial help, but some keep making bad investment. As this is November, also known as Movember (men's health month).

1 of our speakers at the event (Niina Moliere-Palapa) will be starting a man's award. The foundation is to recognise excellent male from age 8 years and above in our community who are doing more but not recognised. This award event is to give hope to others, and show them that there are enough male out there who are good! This award will also be an healing agent to those who have been hurt by male, it will educate males on how to know and love themselves enough so they can love others without allowing negativity to be projected onto themselves.
Some amazing men attended, impacted and were speakers at the Champions Retreat 2017. One man told his story of spending £60k to get his son back after his son was abducted to another country. Another speaker spoke about how her ill health (chronic illness LUPUS) stops her being able to do thing. As a mother, and wife, her husband as to look after himself, their two children and her when the illness arrests her.
Even though Royal Champions retreat (RoyalCR17) was mainly for career women this year, we were able to champion amazing men still.
As we bring 2017 to an end, remember not to allow your past to dictate your future, the history as no control over you unless you let it. The past should motivate you and give you hope of how far you have come, not to stop you.
Your past reactions should not be projected onto others at work, others you are in a relationship with. It also should not be projected onto your children in a bad way. Let children be children and grow up believing in the best of their ability. It all starts with the mindset, if their mindset is "life loves me and wants the best for me," they will attract that and move away from anything and anyone that does not want the best for them.
